Objective
Course II is an extension of the first course (“The
Essentials”). This course goes into much greater detail to
provide the attendee a better understanding of:
-
Pricing and costing issues
internationally.
-
Developing an export quotation (“proforma
invoice).
-
Managing the risks involved in
international trade.
-
Understanding payment terms.
Upon completing the session the
attendee should be able to fully understand the costs and risks
involved in international trading as well as be able to select
payment terms suitable to the market and the attendee’s risk
appetite.
Who
Should Attend?
Those who participated in the
first
workshop should also attend this course to complete their
instruction. The course also benefits those individuals and
companies who have only limited experience in international and wish
to improve their skills in the issues addressed by the course.
What
Will be Covered?
The workshop is divided into three smaller sessions:

Pricing
and costing. A case study is utilized to illustrate the various
options.

Managing
risks and getting paid.

Developing a proforma invoice (utilizing the skills/information
garnered in the first two sections to formulate an effective
proforma invoice).
Class
participation and discussion is emphasized throughout the workshop.
